Post-mag & Post-doc Programme

Since 2023, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA) has introduced a new FFA Post-mag/Post-doc Programme, the purpose of which is to support the involvement of recent graduates in professional life and at the same time to strengthen the development of creative (artistic, research or innovative) activities of the faculty. The programme consists in the creation of short-term positions (researcher or postdoctoral fellow), which are filled on the basis of annually repeated open calls.


Types of Programme

The FFA implements two types of programme:

  1. The call for artists is usually issued for three part-time positions for a duration of one or two semesters.* Eligible to apply are graduates of the master's or doctoral programmes who will be implementing a project directly shaping or developing the focus of the chosen studio/department (see Organigram). The nature of the collaboration with the selected workplace must be evident from the submitted application and confirmed with a recommendation from at least one employee of the said workplace.   2. The call for researchers is usually issued for the filling of one part-time position for a duration of one or two semesters.* Eligible to apply are graduates of doctoral studies (in the Czech Republic or abroad) who will be undertaking a project related to the activities of the faculty's research workplaces, e.g., Department of Art History and Theory, Research Centre, or possibly one of the departments (see Organigram). The essence of the collaboration with the research workplace must be clear from the submitted application and confirmed with a recommendation from at least one employee of the said workplace.
