The Favu Gallery represents a lively communication space for the presentation of emerging generation of artists (up to the age of 35) and curators (no age limit). It is an experimental laboratory of open dialogue with academic environment and the public. It offers a background for professional presentation of young artists who can be either students, post-graduate researchers, or recent alumni. The main mission of The FaVU Gallery consists in presenting excellent outcomes within visual art, audio-visual art or sound art, in promoting promising artists, and in actively participating in the cultural life of the city, the region, and Czech society.
Upcoming exhibitions in 2019:
13.2. - 13.3., Living tent - Klára Čermáková

New exhibitions are held each two weeks; participating artists are recruited both from the FFA students and emerging and established guest artists. The gallery represents a platform open to research and experiments in art. It contributes to the broadening of communication between FFA studios and between the FFA and other art schools and platforms. The gallery was inspired by the 207 Gallery at the Academy of Art, Architecture, and Design in Prague. Exhibitions are accompanied by lectures or discussions aimed at all FFA students and the public. The curatorial team consists both of FFA teachers and students.

The exhibition takes the viewer through different issues of security, protection, and control, all of which are applied by power. Both viewers and the artists are in an unequal position towards the impenetrability of private and state power. Despite of this, it is essential to be aware of this position and test its limits and possibilities as every garden has its rear door.
